Sig Stx Review - I recently bought an STX 1911 while buying a 9mm or .45 for heavy use in IDPA matches. I was drawn to the STX by the number and quality of built-in features for the price. Not to mention, it's a cool gun!
The STX is a "standard" SIG 1911 made by the SIG Custom Shop, and a "special" one at that. It's all SS with black nitride. The sight is adjustable for Sig Lites, and while I like the fully adjustable back (Novak knock), I really like the fiber. I replaced mine with Dawson Precision fiber in the correct length. Another advantage of the DP blade is that it is longer than the SIG OEM. The back isn't that big, and it's well padded by the OEM - not the best for action shooting. The OEM front dot is tritium surrounded by a bright white line, although very serviceable, not as fast as fiber (for me). I replaced the front twice, actually, I tried the Hi-Viz fiber first. But it was too short to pay for the convertible back. I used the BJM P500 Pro Universal Sight Tool for these changes, and if anyone is interested in why and how it went, please come to the answers or give me a post.
Sig Stx Review
The front and rear grips are well thought out, and the grips are Hogue "plastic" which does a good job of simulating wood. It was easy, so I replaced it with VZ Operator. The top of the slide is smooth and the divider makes the height. It leaves the surface of SS bare, so it is different from nitride and because it is less visible, it does not emit light. I found that shooting the flash from above helped me keep track of the scene.

The opening of the egg on the line itself is flat, and there are eggs firmly attached to the wide chute. The appendix is not the beginning of the main house, so it can be removed if you think it is too much.
The OEM safety finger is two, but small. So I installed the Wilson Bullet Proof Wide Ambi. I didn't agree at first, because I knew I would have to change the sound system. Although the trigger set is "good to drive", I would like it to be more competitively tuned. I found a Kammer Hammer (CH) speaker kit that includes an EGW speaker kit that fits the CH. The CH has a lightweight design that makes it easy to float and feel. With an EGW combustion unit, it's as close to a "reduced" normal operation as you can get. I will expand on this if necessary.
Finally I added the Wilson Bullet Proof Oversized Mag Release. Actually, this is not a legal IDPA. But I've used one in Delta Elite, and I've used that gun in IPSC and IDPA, and I've never had a problem. Can be removed with a set installed if there is a complaint. tpt

The magwell storage system is similar to the EGW system. You must remove the cable retainer AND leave the MSH slightly loose to access the magwell. You can now restore MSH without magwell.
I also use STX for IDPA. My left in the shop but can do the same on the last day. A great pistol that is light and comfortable. It looks like you did a great job on your own giving me some ideas.
I just bought one and shot about 200 rounds with no fte or ftf. I found the magwell was loose and had to get an allen wrench to fit it. I like the handle but I ordered black wood to match (match) the black wood of the 938 (my daughter thinks the 938 is hers and the STX is mine, she got the idea because she was with me "helping" pick them up. ). The question is, is black ok or do I need to order something else (ie rosewood)?

The SIG Sauer 1911 STX Two-Tone arrived in Germany from Exeter, USA. Its appearance is particularly attractive because of its two colors. The metal frame is black and creates a contrast with the light color. The design is rounded off by a maple grip panel with the company logo. In addition to the standard SIG, the slide also has an extended non-retractable pad. The tape recorder is located outside the back of the hard drive. The barrel has a standard bushing inside.
While the painting has a unique look, the frame has a natural look. It comes with a large lens, memory honey, and front and rear traction control. There are small protective wings on both sides. The trigger and hammer are skeletonized.
Magazine tubes are presented in front of the magazine for easy inspection. As is typical of Stainless Targets, the front model has a short rod with a spring and guide bush. The infinity bar is attached to the top of the slide by two lines.

The SIG Sauer 1911 STX can be dismantled even without a bushing. The guide bushing can easily be pushed in by hand.
All controls are in their normal position in this state mode. To change everything, click on the right place. The only part of the block above the hammer is a small line (-1 point). There were no adverse events or reduction in safety rating (score 0).
The SIG Sauer 1911 STX Two-Tone does not cause any interference and all safeties work well. A standard 1911 rating in terms of trigger grip design is not given (-0 points). Front and rear handling and control are impressive. Although fruit trees look similar to their fruit, the surface is as smooth as glass and therefore holds very little.
The trigger pulls a few millimeters, but at least it achieves a dry action. The weight of the trigger reaches 2,300 grams, although it is still very high (-3 points). Aluminum alloy also has a soft texture.

The SIG Sauer STX comes with a metal trigger with three white dots. The viewing angle remained short. Although it may not match the sport, the picture is a good match for the gun (–0 points).
There is a slight decrease in the performance test section (-3 points). On the other hand, the slide lock sits on the line with little play, especially inside. And for another, there are obvious signs of working on non-renewable slide decks. However, the frame, internal display and all the controls look good.
In a good test, it was found that the pistol shot well despite the play between the barrel and the slide. The SIG Sauer 1911 STX Two-Tone beat the group shot in almost every test using Remington cartridges. Very good grade with 45 mm bullets. Score 47 points for this review (–3 points).
The SIG Sauer 1911 STX Two-Tone stands out because of its unique design. The attractive map of the grip world and the two-tone exterior give the gun a unique look. When it comes to accessories, the STX proves to be quite versatile.

This gun is not suitable for heavy sports, due to the lack of visual sight and the severity of its action. However, it provides a skeletonized, well-written and well-written section from the beginning. The STX comes with two magazines, a color instruction manual and a SIG Sauer holster.
